Christian is with Jesus

Our son has passed on to be with Jesus. On Friday morning as we were planning on taking him home and he had an episode where his mind couldn't tell his body to breath. He is such a fighter that he had around 8 episodes throughout the day as Leah and I held him. At 8:00 pm our son went to sleep and Jesus came down and carried is soul to heaven. We were so blessed with the time that we had with him. He was a perfect little man.

Our little man has touched so many hearts and has taught us all how powerful love can be and how time is such a precious gift. We will cherish every minute spent with him until we go ourselves to be with the Lord.

Thank you everyone for your prayers, visits, and gifts. We truly couldn't have walked this path without your help. God has given us strength and comfort knowing Christian will be whole again in his arms.

We are going to have a memorial service for Christian and we will post the time and place on our next post.

Thank you all again and God bless,

Ryan and Leah

Ryan and Leah,
I am so sorry Christian is no longer with you but am so thankful that he is in Heaven, in perfection with his Savior. I rejoice in the promises of Heaven but my heart still breaks for you.
I am so happy you got to spend some time with your sweet miracle boy.
I will continue to lift you up to God in prayers for peace and
comfort as you move forward in the next hours, days and months. May God hold you in the palm of His almighty hand.
With love in Christ,
Kim

Words can not express how deeply sorry I am that Christian is no longer in your arms. I hope you are able to find peace in knowing that he is in a wonderful place waiting to greet you both again someday. I'm so glad that you were able to have some time with him before he passed. I know you both will cherish that time along with all the memories you were able to make in such a short amount of time with him. God bless you all as you go through this difficult time.

Rest in Peace sweet baby Christian.

Ryan and Leah, my heart aches to know that your darling angel has flown from your arms. Although knowing that he is whole and healthy and in a better place where extra chromosomes don't matter, I know there is nothing that can take away the pain your hearts are feeling for missing your precious, precious son. I will pray that the celebration of his perfect life brings you peace and that your sweet boy sends you millions on kisses from heaven to help ease your hearts.

Your sweet boy has certainly earned his wings.

Love,
Christena

Ryan and Leah,

Words cannot express how sorry I am that your time with Christian was so very short. No little one has ever been loved more and now he is in the arms of our Father.

God bless you and may He meet all your needs as you face the difficult days ahead. Praying for that peace that passes all understanding as you make arrangements to celebrate his sweet little life.

When you can please let us all know how you two are doing. Lifting you two in prayer. God bless you both.
Kathy

Leah and Ryan,
I am so sorry to read that, although we know Christian is with God, he is no longer in your arms. I know how very much you love him, and how hard you fought for time with him. He is a very blessed little boy that you and Ryan are his mommy and daddy, and I know he has touched the hearts of the doctors and nurses helping to care for him and for you. His life has great meaning for others, and not just for you.

I will not stop praying for you, that God will provide you comfort, and hope that your church family and friends will help to meet some of your physical needs.

I feel so blessed to have gotten to know of you and Christian, and to see the miracle of you holding him ... the proof that hoping against the no-hope predictions, and fighting for HIM, the baby God chose to give to you, is not wasted hope. I think Angie, Chrissy, Kenzie, Kim, Yvette, Emily, Karen, Kristy, Susie, and others, have all shown us this same truth. Your beautiful boy was created intentionally, and was fearfully AND wonderfully made. As you know.

Please continue, as you are able, to share ways that we can support you, and specific prayer needs that you have. I love you, Leah.

I am so sorry to read that he passed but thankful that you were able to hold him, know him, and love him. I will hold you all in prayer.

Oh I am so sorry for you guys, I can't imagine how you must feel. I have been following your story for a couple months and it has touched me. I am so glad you had time with your son, even though I am sure it wasn't enough.

Leah & Ryan, Although we haven't met, I feel like I know you both. I've learned so much about both of you and your incredible journey thru Patti and Mike and through your beautiful blog page. Know that I have been praying for you and Christian for a long time...most of our church (South Shore in Sarasota) has. We love you guys and our hearts go out to you. I can't help through the sadness and tears to still praise Jesus for answered prayer...for the time you had with your precious baby boy. For every poopy diaper, every wet one, every cry ... every moment. God gave you that precious skin to skin, heartbeat to heartbeat time and I know you will remember those moments forever. Christian was very blessed with two remarkably strong, loving, faithbased parents who wanted only the will of God for him. He is now in our Daddy's arms and as Ryan said...your son is whole is His arms! What a precious thought and I pray that gives you a glimmer of peace and comfort. Continue to love each other and stay close to Jesus...He loves you both and loves Christian more than words could say. Know that we are here for you in Sarasota, and can be in Naples...should you need ANYTHING. Continued Love & Prayers for you & your family. Blessings, Pam
